TCM Composition Prize won by composer
Hannah Varty

Sheet music

St Paul's Sinfonia has had close links with its closest conservatoire, Trinity College of Music, since its inception. Many of its players are alumni of TCM, and some are still studying there now. The Sinfonia has also always been keen to promote new music, and is particularly supportive of younger, up-and-coming composers. To combine these two interests, the Sinfonia is sponsoring a new Composition Prize for composition students at TCM, which this year has been won by Hannah Varty, currently studying for a Masters under Errollyn Wallen and Deirdre Gribbins. Visit Hannah's own website, and listen to the beginning of her new work, recorded by the Sinfonia.

We hope to be premiering Hannah's new work before the end of this season - watch this space!
