"A pearl in the heart of Deptford"

St Paul's Church is a signature building erected during the early 1700s, and designed by Sir Thomas Archer (also designer of St John's Smith Square, and Birmingham Cathedral). It is a splendid and important example of English Italianate Baroque, and is dramatically preserved in its spacious churchyard. The Royal Commission on the Historical Monuments of England has referred to the church as one of London's finest Baroque buildings.

The church possesses a beautiful rich acoustic that is perfect for concerts and recordings. St Paul's Sinfonia is the most regular user of the space, but it is also frequently used by many of the world's leading record labels for recordings of both choral and orchestral music. The Sixteen, the Monteverdi Choir, and the Chamber Orchestra of Europe have all used the church in the last year.
