Getting to St Alfege
St Alfege Church stands at the heart of historic Greenwich, close by the Cutty Sark clipper sailing ship, the National Maritime Museum, the Fan Museum and the University of Greenwich Maritime campus, and a short walk from Greenwich Royal Park and the Old Royal Observatory.
National Rail: from Charing Cross, London Bridge, and London Waterloo East to Greenwich station. Turn left out of the station, and follow Greenwich High Road for approximately 400m. (5 mins walk)
DLR: the closest station to the church is Cutty Sark. Take the Greenwich Church Street exit and turn right – the church is approximately 100m away. (3 mins walk)
It is impossible to park in the churchyard itself, as space is extremely limited, but there are two car parks within 5 minutes walk of the church, and metered parking on many of the surrounding side streets.
