St Paul’s Sinfonia April concert!
St Paul’s Sinfonia returns with another lovely programme, carefully tailored to be best enjoyed from your sofa with a glass/bottle/barrel of wine. We kick off with a Haydn overture, to his opera L’Isola Disabitata. It’s a really stunning opener – a piece that should be *much* better known. After the Haydn, we continue our celebration of the music of Malcolm Arnold (whose centenary falls in October), with his excellent Serenade for Small Orchestra. And lastly, Beethoven’s Symphony No. 4 – a true masterpiece, whose worth is sometimes overlooked, surrounded as it is by the Eroica and the 5th symphonies.
Tickets to watch are an absolute steal at £12, from the TicketCo website. We love playing together, and hope very much you’ll love watching this concert
